ABOUT

Lisa Lobo Designs-

Inspired by my love of colors, flowers, textures, and diverse cultures that I inherited from my mother, I began my jewelry design business by creating original leather and bead wrap bracelets as a personal challenge.

Subsequently I employed a variety of leather and mixed media to create unique bracelets that were enjoyed by many friends and clients.  I soon began working with beads, crystals, chains and a variety of semi-precious stones, along with beautiful natural baroque pearls, to create a large variety of pieces.  Each piece is carefully and meticulously handcrafted in the USA with only the highest quality components. I have shown my collections at numerous events, venues and private shows for the past 4 years and have many repeat customers who eagerly anticipate each of my collections.

I was born and raised in Bombay (now Mumbai), India and have had the opportunity of living in numerous cities in the US, Europe and the Far East. I am proud of my heritage and background starting with my beautiful, courageous and wise mother who instilled my life’s motto of “doing my best with anything I put my mind to” and that my only competition is my own potential.

This and my many life experiences have influenced me in aspiring to use my creativity in various ways.  I graduated from Bombay University in Chemistry and Microbiology while getting a Diploma in Piano performance from Trinity College in London.  I came to the US to pursue a Master’s degree in Piano Performance at the Wisconsin Conservatory of Music. Subsequently I received a Degree in Medical Technology from the Texas Health Science Center in Houston, TX and worked in the health care field for some years while moving with my family from Chicago to Dallas, London, Anchorage and finally to Scarsdale where we settled.  I opened and ran a successful Piano studio for 12 years which was a very rewarding period for me.  Having both music and a science background certainly has given me an edge to understanding and communicating with people from all walks of life.

I am passionate about traveling, having visited close to 50 countries, and enjoy creative culinary endeavors.  I love playing jazz piano and enjoy performing at local events around Westchester County.  My newest passion is playing competitive duplicate bridge which can be played online in these times of COVID-19 and is still as exciting though I do miss the social aspect of our local bridge club.

My family and friends call me a true Renaissance woman as my passions are very diverse allowing my creativity to be limitless.  I am fortunate to live in an area where the beauty of my surroundings engages my imagination and creativity. Remembering always my Mother’s dictum never to be afraid to take on new challenges, my driving passion is to blend these influences and create unique and beautiful jewelry for your enjoyment.
